Papa Johns began back in 1984 in Jeffersonville, Indiana in a broom closet. Fifteen years after we decided to start making pizza in Jeffersonville, the first British Papa Johns opened in 1999 in Grays, Essex. By 2013, there were over 200 UK stores and we knew we were going to have to up our game in order to maintain the quality and taste of our pizzas - so we opened our own Quality Control Center making fresh dough in 2004 in Milton Keynes. Our desire to make Papa Johns a firm family favourite in the UK paid off - and now we have over 500 restaurants around the UK. Today, Papa Johns is the world’s third-largest pizza delivery company with more than 5,500 restaurants in more than 45 countries and territories.
