Our Pizzas - Ingredients

But equally important are the deliciously fresh and irresistibly tasty topping ingredients that we scatter generously onto our famously fresh dough bases! Watch our video to find out more about Papa John's mouthwatering promise of "better ingredients, better pizza"!

As part of our long term better ingredients journey, Papa John's UK is committed to converting to cage-free eggs by the end of 2019. As with our other ingredient milestones, our team will spend hundreds of hours working with our suppliers to prepare for this conversion - we are proud of their effort.
Are Papa John’s stores or products halal?
When we source our meat, our decisions are based on animal welfare standards, food safety and quality. We do not specify to any of our suppliers to supply us with halal certified meat, and therefore do not position our stores or meat as
halal approved. However, whilst we do not select based on halal certification, it is possible that our suppliers' products can be classed as halal and this is true only of our Chicken Topping & Chicken Poppers. Both products are sourced directly from suppliers in Thailand, whose chicken is certified as halal by the religious authorities in Thailand. All our suppliers in Thailand are certified to the Food Safety Standards set by the British Retail Consortium (BRC) and to the Animal Welfare Standard, Genesis GAP. Both are International recognized Food Safety and Animal Welfare standards which our suppliers
are audited against annually, by independent auditors.
Whilst these products are certified as halal upon supply, we do not position them or our stores as halal approved. When all of our product reaches our stores, we maintain rigid food hygiene standards throughout food handling areas and all food
handlers employed are trained in all areas of good food hygiene practice. We work closely with suppliers to enable up to date and clear labelling of all products and carry out external audits to ensure good kitchen and service practices are
maintained. These practices extends to all of our products, we do not treat or prepare halal & non-halal product separately.
