Free Pizza from UK's Number One Pizza Chain

Papa John’s stores across the UK gave away free pizza on Saturday 16th January to celebrate that the company has been named Pizza Delivery Chain of The Year for the second year running. The Pizza, Pasta and Italian Food Association has awarded Papa John’s its ‘Pizza Delivery Chain Award’ in four out of the last six years, and the company was once again named the winner in 2009. Papa John’s National Marketing Manager, Andrew Gallagher, said: “We’re delighted to have received this prestigious award yet again and to celebrate this fantastic achievement. We gave out free pizza between 11am and midday at all our stores allowing people to come and join the party!” Papa John’s is the only major chain to use only 100% fresh dough, 100% of the time! Last year was Papa John’s most successful yet. The company continued to excel in new product development, including the creation of the Everyman Pizza to raise money for the male cancer campaign. An independent taste test revealed the impressive result that the majority of Pizza Hut customers prefer Papa’s Pepperoni to Pizza Hut’s Pepperoni Feast. The company also advanced technically, offering customers a newly revamped website and by becoming the first pizza chain in the UK to accept orders from mobile phones via the web.
