Papa John’s proves a haven for pizza lovers

5th August 2009

Papa John’s Pizza has opened stores at 12 Haven holiday parks across the UK this year, creating around 150 jobs in these tough times.

All of the stores are Papa John’s Pronto – an express version of the authentic Papa John’s ‘Better Ingredients. Better Pizza’ experience. There are still hand-thrown pizzas, all made with 100% fresh dough and crafted by expertly trained pizzaiolos. The only difference is at Pronto, the fresh pizzas are prepared during peak periods and are ready-to-go as soon as an order is made.

The stores are proving popular with guests at the Haven caravan holiday parks who are looking for great value and quality food. Family meal deals at Papa John’s Pronto start at just £15.99, and the stores deliver to all caravans within the site.

Papa John’s director of franchising, Alan Mason, said: “We’re really pleased to have opened 12 stores at Haven sites on the UK’s coastline this year. This is new territory for us but we are confident that our Pronto stores will continue to deliver in more ways than one, as Haven guests opt for a great value and delicious takeaway pizza over an expensive restaurant meal.

“Each Papa John’s Pronto store employs around 15 staff, so it’s great that we’ve created opportunities for local people who may have lost their jobs in the recession. Papa John’s Pizza is a growing business in the UK and we welcome any enquiries from potential franchise owners interested in joining our expanding team.”
