New Papa John’s is just the ticket

Customers at the new Papa John’s store in West Denton will be in with a chance of winning a free 100% fresh pizza.

Staff are putting golden tickets in random pizza boxes, and the lucky recipients will be entitled to a free pizza if they present their ticket when buying a Papa John’s pizza before the 10th of September at the store in Denton Park Centre.

Kuldip Shergill, the franchise owner of Papa John’s West Denton, said: “We want to celebrate our opening by giving customers the chance to win a free pizza. Papa John’s is the only branded pizza chain to use 100% fresh dough 100% of the time, and we fully live up to our ‘Better Ingredients. Better Pizza’ promise. So why not come down to our store and judge the quality of our pizzas for yourself?”

The opening of Papa John’s West Denton has created 14 jobs for managers, delivery drivers and pizzailolos (expert pizza makers) as part of a £250,000 investment. The store is the 20th Papa John’s to open this year, and the company is on course to have more than 150 stores open in the UK and Ireland by the end of 2009.

Papa John’s Pizza UK was named the Pizza Delivery Chain of the Year 2008 by the Pizza, Pasta and Italian Food Association. The company was founded by John Schnatter in the USA in 1984. He sold his beloved Camaro car to buy his first oven and soon began selling pizzas. 25 years later and Papa John’s is the third largest pizza company in the world, with more than 3400 stores in 31 countries.
