For our pizzas, only the best will do. Ingredients must arrive in perfect condition at our stores, so we built a new £3 million centralised purchasing and delivery system in Staffordshire to maintain and enhance product quality. A modern fleet of temperature-controlled trucks delivers the raw ingredients in the best condition and on time throughout the country.

We also invest heavily in new technology and make every effort to ensure that we offer the very best service possible. Every new store is equipped with a state of the EPOS system. It has been developed to help improve the efficiency of store operations and provides detailed management reports as well as essential sales and marketing data. We also have a team of IT experts who are always on hand to help with any technical hiccups.

An online ordering facility has been added to our website, providing customers with a quicker, easier and more efficient way of ordering.

From selecting the best sites and equipment to helping with training your team and marketing support, Papa John's assists its franchisees every step of the way.

Proven Methods, Products and Equipment
We operate company stores to ensure we fully understand the business and have a solid foundation for all aspects of training and retraining. They have proved invaluable for trying out new products and refining equipment, service techniques and marketing activity.

Papa John's comprehensive 12 module training programme includes 1 week at the national training centre and 5 weeks at an operating store. In addition to this franchisees will benefit from a further week’s training for their staff in their own store.

Marketing That Works
Marketing is a key facet of our approach and apart from activities to stimulate local demand, franchisees also benefit from ongoing national support in the form of major campaigns offering a combination of special price or package deals and competitions.

In addition, we support each new Papa John's store opening with a comprehensive programme of marketing and PR activity. This has been designed to raise awareness of the store in the local area and to encourage trial and repeat purchase.

It costs from £170,000, with 30% of the overall figure in liquid assets, to set up a Papa John's store. Of this a franchisee needs around £70,000 liquid capital. Papa John's will offer advice and assistance to potential applicants seeking bank finance.

What Do I Get
Package normally includes all fixtures and fittings, signage, internal signs, map and frame, estate agent's fee, legal fees, franchise fee, marketing fee, project management costs, and pre-opening expenses.

If you are a keen and acquisitive agent with a nose for a good retail/catering site, we need your expertise to help us grow. Papa Johns Pizza is one of the fastest growing catering concepts in the world with over 3,000 units trading successfully in 21 different countries. We want to be number one in the pizza delivery & restaurant business and we can make it, with your help. The key to our growth, apart from providing the best possible product, baked from the freshest ingredients, is the quality of our locations from which we trade. The sites we seek will have:

  • a high profile on a busy traffic route
  • 800 to 1,200 sq ft of ground floor space
  • A5 use or good prospect of achieving this
  • a minimum of a 15 ft frontage
  • rear yard or access at the back of the property
  • car parking close-by
  • supporting traders near-by
  • at least 18,000 homes within a 3 mile radius
  • leasehold tenure (with 10 years available) or freehold.
